I photographed this sweet family a while back in their lovely home, this time we met up in Waco for a quick 20 minutes to capture their sweet girl as she is turning 1! How quickly time goes by! Mini sessions are a great idea if you’d had a full session not too too long ago and you just need a few updated shots, shoot me an email if you’re interested in a quick mini! xo

Whew! Sorry for the blog lull, folks! My husband and I went on a much-needed vacation and I haven’t been too eager to plop back down in front of the ol’ computer since getting home! Once you take a break its hard to get back into the swing of things, no?? Well, at this time of year most folks are graduated, and so is this guy!  This is a session I have been wanting to share but just haven’t had the chance until now. TJ just graduated from Baylor University and is heading to law school at SMU (smarty pants!)! He’s a great guy and we had a lot of fun strolling around Waco. All the best to you TJ, thanks for being such a great sport!

I honestly don’t know where to start. I feel like I could write paragraph after paragraph about Maggie and Byron, and how amazing they are, and it wouldn’t even scratch the surface. As I’ve mentioned before, my husband and I lead a group of college students, and Byron has been one of “ours” for years. Maggie goes to our church and works with the kiddos and I’ve gotten to know her over time as my daughter thinks she hung the moon (and she kinda did:).  If two people were ever meant to be, its these two. When Byron said he took Maggie out on a date I came home and told my husband they would get married…and they did…and I got to photograph it! Maggie and Byron, I hope you two know how much Adam and I (and B!) love you and how proud we are of you both. You two were amazing apart but will be even more so together, thanks for sharing your lives with us. xo

I’ve known this sweet fam for a while now since sweet Emme was in B’s pre-school class years ago so it was so fun when they contacted me, said that their photographer had retired and wanted to know if I was up for the task! Heck yes! Laura said they typically had their photos taken in a studio in the past so I was happy that they wanted to mix things up a bit (and not only shoot on location, but an urban location at that!) ~ just my style! My long-time, sweet friend Allyson and her husband Kyle were in town from Seattle and are anticipating their first child! So of course we had to do a maternity session! The last time these two cuties were behind my lens was a couple years ago when I shot their engagments, so fun capturing these milestones!! The weather wasn’t looking promising and I thought for sure we’d have to cancel…BUT the sun did end up coming out and we made it work!  It was so fun having these guys here in Waco, it went by too fast!! Allyson and Kyle, thanks for making the long drive and for choosing me to capture this special time in your lives, such a treat and privilege! Love you both! xo

I have a really loud laugh compared to how small I am!

You know its going to be a great wedding day when the bride and groom have their first look at the famous gum wall in Seattle! I can’t say enough great things about these two and am so thankful to call them friends.  These two planned an amazing day and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it! Enid and Taylor are planning a destination wedding in Florida later this summer, I just know Enid is going to be the most stunning bride! Enid and Taylor love books and “Where the Wild Things Are” has special significance to them so we had to incorporate it into their photos! We had a lot of fun, thanks for the lovely time, you two ~ all the best! xo

The Stanford chess team recruited me, but I had to turn them down because I thought California was too far away (insert sarcasm).

I love photographing engagements, its one of my favorite things. Stacey wanted to shoot some on Baylor’s campus and some in downtown Waco, loved it! The 3 of us had a great time (minus my fire ant attack -sorry you two had to witness my frantic episode!) hanging out in Waco and documenting this special time. Here are my favorites. xo
