My dear friends Lindsay and Josh welcomed their fourth munchkin into the world earlier this month! I asked them to bring sweet Wendell into the studio (aka: my guest bedroom) when he was brand new for a few photos. Welcome to the world, Wendell Lewis, we’re so glad you’re here! xo
It was really fun meeting Tess and Thomas and photographing this special time in their lives. Tess was up for ANYTHING -laying on an old piece of furniture found in the middle of an alley, sitting on concrete (which is no easy feat at 36 wks!), etc. Anytime I said “what do you think about (insert crazy idea)” she’d say “Oh, I don’t care -if it makes for a great picture I’ll do it!” So great!!I loved their images and am excited to share my favorites. Thanks you two, can’t wait until baby Zadyn is finally here! xo
These two were a lot of fun to photograph! The wind was nuts and hair was flying but they were both great sports and up for whatever -love that! Thanks for the fun evening you two, all the best as you get ready for your big day! xo
Oh man, where to start with these two?! For the past few years Josh has been a part of our church small group that my husband and I lead each week, and when he started bringing Jonna along with him…we knew it was serious. Our small group is kind of like a little family, we’ve all been doing life together for years and so when someone starts bringing a significant other, you know it means something. I’m not gonna lie, the mama bear in me comes out a little when my “kids” bring a special someone over…I need to size ‘em up, make sure their worthy and all that. With all that said, I have loved Jonna since.the.get.go. She is a beautiful girl inside and out and has such a kind spirit about her (and I love the way she loves Josh). I need to brag about Josh a second too of course - he’s wicked smart and has a great sense of humor, so glad he’s one of “ours.” I could go on and on but this is getting a bit lengthy! Josh and Jonna, thank you for inviting me into such a special time in your lives and for doing life with us these past few years, such an honor and privilege. xo
*Jonna and Josh wanted to do their session on Jonna’s grandparents property where these two have spent a lot of time and where Josh proposed! It was the perfect spot.
I love the southern tradition of brides having photo sessions before their big day! It’s so fun to see brides looking so beautiful and to actually have time with a bride and capture some beautiful portraits. Alyssa got married last weekend in Colorado, I’m sure she looked just as beautiful as she did on this day! Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon together. xo
My dear friend Kristen welcomed her third baby boy (a month early!) in late December! I had her bring him to “the studio” (aka: my guest bedroom) so I could snap a few photos of all his yummy newborn-ness. Isn’t he such a sweet pea??! You’ll be seeing more of him on here soon as I’ll be capturing the whole family all together ~ can’t wait! Welcome to the world sweet Mayer Reece! xo
I’ll end with this one b/c he’s just too cute even if unhappy!
Allyson contacted me over a year before her wedding and asked if I would photograph it, I was truly honored! I had never met her before but found out that we go to the same church! It was the most beautiful January day for these two to join their lives together, and I was honored to be a part. Allyson and Logan, thank you for trusting me to capture your day, and I hope Iceland was all that you wanted it to be! All the best as you two start your journey together! xo
I truly had so.much.fun photographing these two! Madison loves having her picture taken and my camera loved her! She’s clearly a beauty but she also is just a natural in front of the lens. Little Jackson has a sweet relationship with his older sister which was so fun to capture, and check out his style! This kid was rockin’ it! I hope next time I can convince mom and dad to get in there too! Thanks guys, so fun! xo
My dear friends Holly and Britt welcomed their sweet baby girl at the very end of November. I was thrilled to photograph Penny Lynn and all her newness in her fabulous nursery! Here are my favorites from our time together. Love you Dukes, so glad Penny is finally here! xo
